2009 in Scotland is celebrating our most famous literary son through the Year of the Homecoming, and The Kilmarnock Edition Festival continues to pay homage to the power of writing and musical invention by offering three days of the best music from Scotland and beyond.
Now in its 5th year Blas will host over 80 cultural events across
The Highlands of Scotland

eatured artists will include top musical talent such as Dougie MacLean, Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain, Blazin’ Fiddles, The Barra MacNeils, and Karen Matheson.
The festival is a key part of the national Homecoming celebrations and venues ranging from community halls and distilleries to Inverness Airport and Eden Court Theatre will provide the scene for Blas events all over the Highlands.
Scotland on TV- a web TV channel with programmes all about Scotland, including daily news bulletins from STV Central and STV North.
GLASBAND 80- A nostalgic look at the the history of the pub/rock scene in Glasgow Circa 1980 when the calibre of bands from that era was outstanding and has never been repeated since.Often ignored by major record labels who thought that north of the border was the dark side of the moon, these bands knew their craft and knew how to write and perform to an exceptional standard.

St Kilda- The archipelago of St Kilda, the remotest part of the British Isles, lies 41 miles (66 kilometres) west of Benbecula in Scotland's Outer Hebrides. Its islands with their exceptional cliffs and sea stacs, form the most important seabird breeding station in north-west Europe. The evacuation of its native population in 1930 brought to a close an extraordinary story of survival.
